The Kindergarten program is tailored to the changing needs of children about to begin school and is led by a knowledgeable and caring staff. Their days consist of activities done in homerooms centered around the theme of the week along with exposing them to various enrichment areas such as science, art, engineering and physical play. On Wednesdays and Fridays Kindergarteners will participate in themed outdoor activities as well as group team building activities.
Children must attend a minimum of one three-week session, 3 days/week Three, Four and Five day options are available from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.
Pegasus CalendarPegasus participation helps young children prepare for the transition to kindergarten. They become familiar with a school setting, make new friends, and experience what it is like to be part of a structured program. The program staff is well versed in the developmental needs of this age group. Most of all, a day at Pegasus is fun for kindergartners. Whether inside or out, there are toys, games, construction blocks, Lego bricks, arts and crafts materials, and many avenues for sand and water play.
A sample of a Kindergarten day looks like this: 9:00am drop off 9:30 Homeroom Activities 10:20 Snack 10:40 Recess - Outdoor play with pools 11:45 Homeroom Activities 12:15 Lunch 12:45 Pack Up and Clean Up 1:00 Dismissal All Kindergarten classrooms follow the themes and spirit days of Pegasus. They also participate in a series of special events each Friday which are age appropriate and cater to the high energy fun loving spirit of all children.
